Prayer
Community is home to The
Shropshire Prayer Breakfast
website.
Since 1996 Christians from across the county have met together to pray
for secular, social and spiritual
leadership. We long to see God's Kingdom extended in
the lives of the people of this county - those who live and/or work here
- praying corporately for our institutions and organisations and directly
influencing those who work for its prosperity.
We
also publish an occasional Prayer Bulletin designed to
provide prayer points, facts and information to facilitate intelligent
prayer for various aspects of community life in the Unitary Authorities
of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
"I
encourage Christians in Shropshire to pray for the secular, social and
spiritual leadership of the county. God longs for all his people to know
him and the benefits of his Kingdom. The Shropshire Prayer Breakfast is
an opportunity to come together in fellowship and commit ourselves to
seeking God's direction and blessing for our communities. We are one in
Christ. Let us act together as one body." -
Rt. Revd. Mark Ryelands, Anglican Bishop of Shrewsbury
Shropshire
Prayer Breakfast 2010
Saturday 19 June 2010 at Shrewsbury Town Football Club's Prostar Stadium
A new focus and a new venue for a new decade. And we've decided to move
from November to June
So come along, seek God's blessing on our county and pray in unity with
Christians who are seeking God's Kingdom's purposes to be worked out.
The
Prayer Community website has been designed to encourage Christians across
all denominations and streams to pray for their communities. Our
desire is to see communities transformed as Christians contribute to and
co-operate with the various agencies and organisations (secular and Christian)
responsible for public services and our security and well-being. If
you would like to to use prayer-community.co.uk to advertise
an event, please contact us - details are on the 'About Us'
page. |
